I just don't get some people!

I used to be best friends with this girl I met at work. When we first starting becoming close, I was dating this guy. I kept thinking something was off...so I dumped his butt! Then he started talking to her on the puter a few months after that. Then after that......they started dating. I didn't dump my friend. I'd already been with my fantastic sexy hubby for awhile and, though I felt weird that she and I had slept with the same guy, she was my friend and the friendship was more important. I obviously was better off without him, so I gave her my blessings, wished her luck, and she started dating him. Figured she should find out for herself the kind of person he was. She'd witnessed all the complaining I did when dating him, so it's not like she was in the dark about how he was considering I'd vented to her. Turns out a month or two after we broke up, he got MARRIED! Then less than 2 mos after that, he'd started talking to her on the puter! Sometimes you have to let go, and let your friends learn things on their own. Good friends, true friends, are very hard to find. In turn, they should be treated like a precious gem, and never let go. Ruining a friendship, ending it whatever, just because they like someone you despise, is such an inappropriate thing to do! Drastic measures I would say, like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Agh, some men. Good job kicking him to the curb. I think you handled the situation with your friend well.

You would think she'd have known better after what he was like to you, but some people need to just see for themselves I guess.

Good thing you found out what a loser he was before you decided to marry him or something like that. As for your friend...You have to just let some people learn their own lessons or they don't get the full benefit of growing up!

you did the right thing IMO. I wouldn't date a friend's ex but I guess some ppl don't mind sloppy seconds Sticking out tongue

I know what you mean.....I had something like that happen to me. I didn't get mad at her. I was just shocked that she could date a person I had been with too. I found a great man now, just like you did.
